For Camus, life is absurd! because life has only two movements either you go up or you go down.
when you go down, there's no way to go up back rather, you'll be climbing up the next mountain of life and go down once again. It's like pushing a huge rock up the pick of the mountain, after which you'll push it down. Pushing down the rock is the happiness part of our lives. Life that way is much lighter than pushing up the mountain. But, will it pay much of pushing it up?

LIFE IS MEANINGLESS:
If this is the case, then what is the meaning of life? Life is meaningless according to Camus. What is the meaning of life when you only go up and down?

LIFE AS MEANINGLESS
•Loaded with problems in life as;
breakup with love one
financial problems in the family
bullied by the world
life full of bad luck
unfortunate life
famine
torture
etc.....

WHEN LIFE BECOMES MEANINGLESS:
There are two things by which human ventures when life becomes meaningless. Either, SUICIDE or LEAP ON FAITH.

There have been many incidence I've heard of suicide because of the meaninglessness of life. Some called them brave for cutting their own live. Others jump from a building, cut their brace, take poisonous substance, hanged to death, or gun their selves down and etc...

For most people leap on faith. They submit their selves to what they believe to be God and some building their own God, that someone out there might immediately help them and pull them out from the darkness of the meaninglessness of life. For some they store much of patience waiting for the solutions to their problems.

THE BRAVE
Person who commit suicide is brave. Imagine that braveness of experiencing the last and the maximum of pain they experience as they gently die. The pain goes the more for the cause of his death is nothing else but himself. In a sense, he has no patience of waiting for his time of bliss. For there's no such thing as happiness and the only solution is death and suicide.
Death is more certain than life.

the case:
My elder sister asked me to collect the debt owed by her to a fellow. That was quite large amount. I knocked a lot of times a girl went down and said she went out. Weeks after, we heard she died of suicide. We learned that she had a lot of debt to pay.

Applying to the philosophy of Camus the person is coward. He is coward of not really facing the reality of life and the reality of life is embedded with suffering.

THE PATIENCE
Person who opted to God is patient enough of enduring much pain 'till their breath gently turns away. In a sense, he is coward and is afraid to die. They are often acknowledged of living a saintly life. They receive honor and respect. They are rewarded the title as "holy".

the case:
I have a friend who raised more than a dozen of children. He also owed money to my sister. His problem goes into sending his children to high school and his daily income is not enough to attain their daily needs. He also got a lot of problems. One time with his family he left the house for not paying rental, yet he never commit suicide. His strength is the togetherness of the family and the belief that God would sooner put them in paradise. His prayers get into asking God of reserving his family from illnesses. He believe, he live.

But did they really lived life as it is? For Camus, No!
They escape from the reality of life.

STREAM
For the reality of life is like rocking in a boat over a rushing river. Each day is misfortune of every chaotic splash. Everyone is rowing the boat of life challenged by whipping waters. Some unload from a boat to the left for they cannot bear the pain and dizziness of life and got suicide. For many chose unloading at the right where they resort on God.

THE REALITY OF LIFE
But the reality of life is left unfaced where the truth is to face the river of life embedded with sufferings. IS MEANINGLESS.

REJOICE! LIFE COULD BE MEANINGFUL!
It is in the MEANINGLESSNESS of life that we find meaning!
It takes lifetime to find meaning in life. Fine if life is only but mere ups-&-downs for in it we find meaning. But how can we make our life meaningful? Find the meaning of your life to where you are into. Happy or Sad life would still be meaningful! There is no state in life that gives happiness alone. Life is not a state of constant happiness. In life it's not about Happy or Sad rather, is it meaningful. Billions of people out there, they are happy, but their life life is not meaningful. Can you see the paradox of life? We can tag them as "Happy people in a meaningless life."
